Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
Booking & Access
How long are the sessions?
Most sessions are 50 or 55 minutes depending on the location. Please leave promptly at the end of your session so the next customer can enjoy their private booking on time. We do not have 25-30 minute slots.
Will I have the field to myself?
Yes. Our secure dog fields are booked for private, exclusive use, so you won’t be sharing the enclosed dog field with other customers during your session.
How do I book a field?
All bookings are made online through our website. Simply choose your location, number of dogs, date and time slot and follow the booking process.
How do I know my booking has gone through?
You’ll automatically receive a booking confirmation by email, and in most cases by text message too. Access details, gate codes and useful information are sent in the “booking accepted” email as soon as you make a booking.
How do I access the field?
Access arrangements vary slightly between locations. Any gate codes, parking instructions or entry information will be sent to you when you make a booking.
Do you provide directions?
Yes. Each field listing includes directions, map links and What3Words information where available.
What happens if I arrive early?
Please wait outside the field until your booking start time. This helps reactive or nervous dogs leave calmly and safely before the next session begins. Please try not to arrive early. Some reactive dogs or their owners get greatly affected by waiting cars.
What if someone is still in the field when I arrive?
Please give them time to safely load their dogs and leave. If there is a significant delay, contact us and we’ll help resolve it.
Can multiple cars attend?
Usually yes, although parking capacity varies by location. Please check the individual field listing if you expect several vehicles.
Are the fields floodlit?
Most of our fields are daylight-only and are not floodlit. Any locations with lighting will mention this on their listing page.
Are there toilets on site?
Most fields are in rural countryside locations and do not have toilet facilities unless specifically stated on the listing.
Safety & Security
Are the fields fully secure?
Our fields are enclosed and designed to provide a safe space for off-lead exercise. However, no dog field can ever be guaranteed 100% escape proof, particularly for determined escape artists or very small dogs. Note, some of our older fields have deer fencing not dog fencing, which very small dogs can get through.
What type of fencing do you use?
Most locations use secure perimeter fencing around 6ft high, although fencing styles can vary between sites.
I have a tiny dog or puppy — is that okay?
Yes, but please be aware that some fields use deer fencing rather than fine mesh or rabbit fencing. Very small dogs or young puppies may fit through gaps in some fencing types.
Are the fields suitable for reactive or nervous dogs?
Yes. Many customers use our private dog walking fields specifically because their dogs are reactive, nervous, in training or unreliable off lead.
Will there be livestock or wildlife nearby?
Some fields are in working countryside locations, so you may occasionally see horses, livestock, wildlife, walkers or farm vehicles nearby. There are some fields that regularly have livestock. Please ask us if this is important.
Can I let my dog off lead immediately?
Please make sure all gates are securely closed before letting dogs off lead. If your dog is particularly anxious or reactive, you may prefer to walk them around the perimeter on lead first.
Are children allowed?
Yes, children are welcome when supervised by a responsible adult at all times. But no bicycles on the field please.
Are the fields monitored by CCTV?
Some locations may use CCTV for security and safety purposes. Where CCTV is in use, appropriate signage will be displayed.
What should I do if there’s a problem with the gate or lock?
Please contact us immediately using the details in your booking confirmation. If possible, keep your dogs safely secured while we assist. The best method is to call or text our Whatsapp number.
Facilities
Is there parking?
Yes. Locations have dedicated on-site or adjacent parking for customers. Please note that in-field parking is normally limited to 2 cars. Additional cars will need to find space outside the field.
Is water provided for dogs?
Approximately half of the locations provide water for dogs, but we still recommend bringing your own water during hot weather or busy periods, in case there is a problem. If there is no water, we make that clear on the website description.
What facilities do the fields have?
Facilities vary by location. Some fields include shelters, seating, minor agility equipment and a picnic table. Please check the individual field listing for exact details.
Is there shelter from bad weather?
The locations have shelters or covered seating areas.
Is there somewhere to wash muddy dogs?
Our locations currently do not have wash stations or hoses.
Are poo bins provided?
Yes, locations provide dog waste bins. Please always clean up after your dogs.
Can I bring food or have a picnic?
Yes, as long as you leave the field clean and tidy afterwards. Never leave food on the ground for other people’s dogs to find.
